Richard has a history of singing in the North-East of England, and is best known as a vocalist/instrumentalist in Jazz, Rock and World music with his strong high tenor voice that is “instantly recognisable and infectious". Richard has been a member of Grand Union Orchestra for 15 years, and has worked with other music outfits such as Appletwig Cutter, Red Music, Rich Pickins, Kent Moped Orchestra and many more collaborations. Richard performs regularly at jazz festivals around Britain with his own “challenging and complex work”. He is partner of the Four Corners Music Network and musical director of Heaton Voices (Newcastle adult community choir).
